I Don’t Like Ike

We had one heck of a wind storm yesterday that took out power to most of Louisville and knocked over a huge number of our famous old-growth trees. Given how many houses are under those trees, there seems to be a fair amount of damage…though obviously nothing compared to what all those poor folks to the south of us are having to content with. But one large limb narrowly missed my oven, and if that doesn’t bring the power of nature home to a baker, I don’t know what does. On the bright side, given all the lumber that’s down, I won’t have to buy fuel for a year.
