This Week: Tortillas

I’ve been fielding requests for homemade tortillas off-and-on for a couple of years, but haven’t done them for some reason. Now, it seems, is the right time. We’ll do both corn and flour tortillas, since they each have their place on the dinner table. Since not everyone will have access to the most authentic ingredients for these (I’m thinking specifically of corn tortillas) I’ll do versions that make use of the stuff that’s the easiest to get. The result won’t be tortillas exactly like they make in Mexico, but they’ll still blow away anything you can get at the supermarket. They take less time than a trip to the supermarket too, which is nice.
