The New York Times…AGAIN!!!

I’m sorry, but I just couldn’t stay away, especially with the New York Times swiping all my best ideas again. I only just finish a long series on home ice cream making when they come out with their own article on the subject! Lucky for them there’s unique news here: a new wave of home ice cream makers that incorporate their own compressors, just like a freezer. Machines like these have been around for a while, but never at such low prices. Though not a perfect imitation of big producer gadgetry, these machines do freeze ice cream mix a lot faster than the previous generation of “frozen bowl” machines. And at 200 bucks, they’re not entirely out of reach for most of us (heck, some of the better old-style wooden bucket makers cost almost that much).

So yes, I guess the Times did have a reason to publish their own article. But before you start calling me paranoid, go pick up a copy and check out this week’s featured recipe: Oriental Pork Belly and Pickled Watermelon Rind Salad.

Who’s paranoid now?!
