A Different Word for Everything
Nothing quite like a quiet Sunday morning browsing the food sites looking for recipes. In fact I just got back from a little trip over to Saveur. I don’t know one food fanatic who doesn’t love that magazine…if only for their amazing photography. But they’re just so easy to make fun of sometimes. This recipe for apple tart (albeit a very refined apple tart) had me in stitches. Pommes Gaufrettes en Fine Tart Feuilletée au Beurre Salé et Caramel Lacté. It reminded me very much of my great aunt’s buffet table masterpiece Haricots Verts en Cocotte en Terre avec Crème de Soupe a Champignons et Oignons Frites. Maybe I should send them the recipe.
