So long ’till next year, fruitcake!

I can’t tell you how many people I’ve said that to over the past couple of weeks and it feels so good. The down side is that I really will be forced to say goodbye to one of my favorite baking topics for a while. But I couldn’t close without showing off my favorite fruitcake-related gift of the year: this cool oddity from Hostess. I didn’t even know they made the stuff! This compact little one-pound 2″ x 2″ x 8″ package is everything your up-and-coming Santa-on-the-go needs. I’m gonna love it with a glass of milk come March, but for now it’s just another pound of cake on the pile. Am I the man that has everything, or what?
