The Sugar Pen
Yes, they call it the sand pen, but imagine the possibilities with colored sugars. I’d love to draw on some cakes and cookies with one of these things!

Where was this when I painstakingly decorated Christmas sugar cookies all night long using every method I could think of to have some control. It was supposed to be a labor of love, and it was, but the swearing that did while trying for fine control made my husband ask if I should kiss my children with that mouth! I hope someone produces a culinary sugar pen before I have any grandchildren…so I can kiss them without question!
They may perfect it soon…which should prevent all the obscenity from peeling the paint off the walls….at your place and many others! 😉

The website says that the next update will involve “drawing with sugar — a dream comes true.” Great minds thinking alike, or are they reading your blog? Who cares, so long as they make the thing, right?
Exactly! In fact they mentioned sugar when they emailed me about it. That’s what coming next I think.

ahem…we have been doing this for generations without schmancy gadgets just plain old fingers….

Indeed! But most of the rest of us aren’t nearly so skilled. We need devices! 😉
