What’s French for “boondoggle”?
When I don’t post much it generally means I’m having trouble with a recipe. It seems the recipe I have for gâteau battu isn’t going to work. So much for reliable sources! The dough is just too sweet for the yeast to grow well. I’ll do some digging tonight and see what else I can come up with. Stay with me!

I love pandoro, LOVE it. I’ll do something like this one of these days, but will probably do Gina De Palma’s recipe since I’ve been wanting to try it for quite a while.

Yeah, sorry about that. I received this from a French source who said it was a no-brainer. Seemed so to me as well!
