Next Up: Baked Alaska
I’ve been wanting to do this for quite a while now, I don’t know what I’ve been waiting for. Maybe a surplus of eggs, which I’ve certainly got this week thanks to a generous neighbor/reader by the name of Patrick. Between the ice cream, the génoise and the meringue I should have no trouble using them up!
that’s a blast from the past! sounded great. What meringue should one use?…. would it be a sin to use italian meringue since it is alaska being baked? too bad there is no Russian meringue otherwise it might be rather appropriate.
