So where was I?

My apologies for last week. My coffee cake production plans turned out to be wildly overambitious, particularly in light of my, er, lost weekend. I’d hoped to make up for the lapse by shaping and baking a coffeecake every evening around dinner time, however after I ruined two of them trying to bake AND get dinner on the table, I soon realized the folly of the whole enterprise.

The thing about Coffeecake Week is that there’s little to talk about and much to show. Without the process picture, well, there wasn’t much point. The good news is that Joe got his groove back this weekend, and the coffeecakes rolled smoothly off the assembly line. Much more coming up!
