So what do I do with my jam once I’ve made it?
An excellent question! If you only had a very small quantity of fruit and made only a very small quantity of jam, you can simply pour it into a jar and put it straight into the fridge. It’ll keep there for months. You can give it away to jam-loving friends (just make sure to tell them the jar hasn’t been sealed). You can freeze it if you like, since jam freezes fairly well, though here I should point out that there are many excellent “freezer jam” recipes out there that require virtually no cooking. They aren’t really my thing, though I know folks who swear by them. Or, you could can it. What’s that you say? You don’t know how to can? I guess we need to do something about that…
